In the Shades
TOTAL HOURS: approx. 24h
TOOLS: Acrylic, Pencil, Tablet, Photoshop
Elizabeth Bennet of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Since I barely have time to digitally paint within a week or two, this one took a while to finish (began early February.) The pose and clothes are close to a reference photo that I found from the 2005 movie. But I made quite a few changes and additions. The necklace is a tribute to the BBC version. Pemberley, from 2005 movie, is in the background. I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out especially when it came from a really rough initial sketch version that looked nothing like the final one.
While painting this, it takes me back to when I had time to read a nice classical book in the summer under some shade. I wish I have the time to relax and do such things now.
